  Location

Our home is a 19th century rowhome in a quiet, residential neighborhood of tree-lined streets. We are just two blocks south of Rittenhouse Square, and five blocks east of Fitler Square. Our location makes us easily accessible across the South street and Walnut street bridges from the campuses of the University of Pennsylvania and Drexel University. Just around the corner from us is the esteemed Rosenbach Museum and Library. And our neighborhood has been home to Major General George Gordon Meade, whose former home is just around the corner, as well as to the paleontologist Edward Drinker Cope, and the novelist Pearl S. Buck.

  Parking

If you are driving to visit us, on-street parking is sometimes available, but we encourage you to consider using the Parkway Parking lot at the corner of 17th and Pine streets. Bring your Parkway parking ticket to the Museum and we will validate it for you, giving you all-day parking on Thursdays and Fridays for just $8.00. This discount is provided courtesy of Joseph Zuritsky, CEO of the Parkway Corporation

  Accommodations

Philadelphia has many fine hotels, and those in the Rittenhouse Square area place you close to our home. If you're planning an overnight visit, we hope you'll considered "La Reserve", a quality bed-and-breakfast located directly across Pine street (1804 Pine) from the Museum.
